In a shocking incident, a 70-year-old was gangraped and killed by two men as she expressed his discontent over them consuming alcohol near her house at the Mohanlalganj area. The accused were identified as Rajesh alias Guddu (30) and Hariram Rawat (34). The duo was apprehended following a complaint by the victim’s family.
What happened on that day?
The two men were consuming alcohol near the woman’s house, when a dispute broke out between the duo and the elderly. The woman objected to their drinking, angering the two men. The police said that the two men then allegedly assaulted the woman sexually and attacked her. She suffered serious injuries after falling against the leg of an iron cot during the assault.

The two accused then shifted the body to a dark area to conceal the rape and murder of the woman. Police nabbed the accused with the help of CCTV footage and technical evidence.
In a separate case, a young woman had been allegedly raped for the last three years on the pretext of marriage. The police have registered a case based on the victim's complaint and have begun an investigation. The victim, a resident of a village under the jurisdiction of Chandhat police station, stated in her complaint to the police that three years ago, Zakir, a resident of Mahindpur Khadar village in Uttar Pradesh, began visiting her home.
The accused took the victim's mobile number and started talking to her. The victim alleges that Zakir trapped her in a love affair on the pretext of marriage. The accused allegedly raped her continuously for the last three years in a small room built in the fields. Whenever the woman put pressure on him to marry, he would make excuses.
