Pune Traffic Update: In a major update for the commuters, the Pune traffic police have announced restrictions in several regions during Ganeshotsav till September 25. The officials, while providing details, stated that the decision has been taken to manage the crowd in the central parts of Pune. The authority has also announced the diversions, further advising the commuters to stay updated and plan their travel in advance to avoid the rush.

Pune Traffic Police Announce Restrictions:

- Laxmi Road from Hamjekhan Chowk to Sevasadan Chowk will remain closed till September 25. The commuters are advised to turn right from Doolya Maruti Chowk and use Daruwala Bridge.
- As per the advisory, Shivaji Road between Gadgil Putla and Rameshwar Chowk will also remain closed. The vehicles travelling towards Swargate can use several other roads, including SG Barve Chowk, JM Road, Alka Chowk, and Tilak Road.
- Apart from this, vehicular movement will also not be allowed on the Bajirao Road from Appa Balwant Chowk to Moti Chowk.

Additional Restrictions After 5 PM:

- Vehicular movement will be restricted on Laxmi Road from Sevasadan Chowk to Tilak Chowk after 5 pm. The commuters have been advised to use Puram Chowk and Tilak Road.
- As per the advisory, Shivaji Road between Rameshwar Chowk and Jedhe Chowk will remain closed, but vehicular movement will be allowed on SG Barve Chowk, JM Road, Alka Chowk, Tilak Road and Shastri Road.
- The traffic police have stated that movement on Bajirao Road from Puram Chowk to Appa Balwant Chowk will not be allowed in the evening hours. However, the commuters can travel on Puram Chowk, Tilak Road, Tilak Chowk and Kelkar Road.
- Apart from this, Sinhgad Garage and Dinkarrao Javalkar Path to Paigude Chowk roads will also remain closed in the late hours

The traffic police have also clarified that parking will not be allowed on several roads, including Jijamata Chowk to Mandai Chowk, Mandai to Shanipar Chowk, Shanipar to Futka Buruj, and Appa Balwant Chowk to Moti Chowk.
