- Heavy vehicles banned on key routes till September 25.

With Ganeshotsav celebrations underway across Maharashtra, commuters travelling through Vasai, Nalasopara and Naigaon have been advised to check traffic diversions and route restrictions. The traffic police have announced several restrictions and diversions to manage congestion during Ganesh idol immersion processions.
In Zone 2 (Vasai), heavy vehicles will not be permitted on several important roads between 2 pm and midnight on designated immersion days, with the restrictions continuing through September 25. Certain routes will also have restrictions on regular vehicular traffic.
Ganesh Immersion Dates
Traffic movement is likely to be affected on the following key immersion days:
September 15: 1.5-day Ganesh immersion
September 18: 5-day Ganesh immersion
September 19: Gauri-Ganesh immersion
September 20: 7-day Ganesh immersion
September 25: Anant Chaturdashi

Heavy Vehicles Banned on THESE Key Routes Till September 25
The traffic restrictions will apply to heavy vehicles on the following stretches:
- Nalasopara East: Santosh Bhavan Highway to Nalasopara East Railway Station Road.
- Vasai East: Vasai Phata (Dhumal Nagar) to Vasai East Railway Station Road, as well as Sativali Khind to Vasai East Railway Station Road.
- Nalasopara East: Tulinj Bridge, Sagar Sweet, Chandan Naka and Achole Circle via the Achole Lake route.
- Naigaon: Naigaon Bapane to Naigaon Railway Station Road.
- Madhuban: Madhuban Gate to Madhuban Quarry Road, leading to the immersion site.
- Vasai West: Tungareshwar Sweet Mart near the railway station, Ambadi Naka, Parvati Cross, Manikpur Naka, Stella Petrol Pump and onwards to Pachubandar.
- Vasai East: Sativali Naka, Saibaba Naka, Agrawal Naka, Bhoir Pada, Renja Naka, Vardhman Naka, Chinchpada, Golani, Waliv Naka, Jayanagar Naka, Shalimar Hotel Naka and Vitthal Mandir Naka, up to Dhumal Nagar Naka
The traffic restrictions have been put in place to facilitate the movement of devotees and pedestrians and ensure that emergency and essential services can operate smoothly during the immersion processions.
Vehicles belonging to the police, ambulances, fire brigade and essential services will be exempt from the restrictions.
Authorities have also cautioned motorists against violating the traffic regulations.
