Yashoda Lodhi's journey from farm fields to global spotlight is a story of persistence and self-belief. An English content creator from Uttar Pradesh, Yashoda went viral when global icon Priyanka Chopra shared one of her videos on her story. After Priyanka's shout-out, Yashoda's social media followers grew rapidly. She now has more than 583,000 followers on Instagram and over four lakh YouTube subscribers.
Thanking her, she said, "Priyanka Chopra Jonas ma'am shared my video on her story, and she has made my day really special for me". Yashoda further recalled that she filmed the video while working out in the fields, despite her husband scolding her for it.
Teaches English Through "English with Dehati Madam"
Raised in a modest family, Yashoda had to leave formal education after Class 12th due to her family's financial conditions. But she never stopped learning. While managing household chores and responsibilities, she began teaching herself English.
Her dream is very simple. She just wants to educate and empower every person who feels held back because of language barriers. Through her YouTube channel, "English with Dehati Madam", she teaches English in the most authentic and relatable ways to hundreds of people online.
Overjoyed By Online Reactions
As they say, "A little goes a long way." Appreciations from several celebrities, including Mrunal Thakur, R. Madhavan, and Abhay Deol, have put Yashoda in the trend. Expressing her gratitude, she said, "I honestly don't have a TV at home and I'm not someone who knows many celebrities, so when my students started telling me about all the wonderful people who appreciated my work, it truly touched my heart."
She thanked everyone who saw her work and appreciated it, motivating her to keep growing.
What Makes Yashoda's Videos Different?
At times when social media is cluttered with all kinds of videos, what sets Yashoda's videos apart from others is her authenticity and raw form of teaching. Without any polished and elaborate setups, she delivers her knowledge in the most genuine manner.
She challenges the stereotype that transferring knowledge requires fancy studios. If the intent is right, you can just do it from a corner of your room. With the help of her videos, she has now built a community of hundreds of followers online across platforms.
