In a major update, the Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) has introduced bus services, linking the airport with key locations in Mumbai and Pune. On Wednesday, the Dadar Airport services were introduced by Maharashtra Transport Minister Pratap Sarnaik. Buses on this route will travel via the Atal Setu, offering a direct connection between central Mumbai and the airport.

According to Sarnaik, the initiative would bring the airport into the state’s broader public transport network. Additionally, connecting the airport directly to Dadar, a major transport interchange, would benefit both air travellers and other commuters.

The new bus services to Navi Mumbai International Airport will operate across three key routes with distinct stage counts and proposed fare structures. The buses from Borivali to Navi Mumbai International Airport would cover 10 route stages, with an adult fare of Rs 210 and a child fare of Rs105.

Buses travelling from Dadar to Navi Mumbai International Airport (via Atal Setu): Spans 8 route stages, costing Rs 170 for adults and Rs 85 for children. Buses travelling from Swargate, Pune, to Navi Mumbai International Airport will cover 22 route stages, with tickets priced at Rs 455 for adults and Rs 230 for children.

Dadar Service To Cross Mumbai Trans Harbour Link

The Dadar service will cross the Mumbai Trans Harbour Link, commonly known as Atal Setu, on its way to Navi Mumbai International Airport. Starting from Dadar Asiad Bus Stand, the bus will stop at Hindmata, Byculla, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT), Carnac Bunder and Ulwe before reaching the airport.

The route provides a direct bus option for passengers from central Mumbai, reducing the need to combine multiple public transport services to reach the airport.

Borivali Bus Connects Andheri To Airport

The Borivali route will serve a series of residential and transport hubs across Mumbai’s western suburbs and parts of the Andheri area.

The scheduled stops include Nancy Colony, Sukurwadi, Samta Nagar in Kandivali East, Pushpa Park in Malad, Goregaon East Police Station, Jogeshwari, Gundavali in Andheri East, Domestic Airport Terminal 1, Vile Parle, Vakola, Bandra Housing Board, Kalanagar, Maitri Park, Vashi Highway, Nerul and Belapur Fort.

With an adult ticket priced at Rs 210 and a child ticket at Rs 105, the service is intended to give western suburban commuters another way to travel directly to Navi Mumbai International Airport.

Pune Airport Service To Run From Swargate

Beginning from Dadar Asiad Bus Stand, the bus will halt at Hindmata, Byculla, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT), Carnac Bunder and Ulwe before reaching the airport.

The route provides a direct bus option for passengers from central Mumbai, reducing the need to combine multiple public transport services to reach the airport. Commuters coming from Pune will have a bus connection from Swargate Bus Stand. The route will cover Vanaz, Chandani Chowk, Balewadi, Hinjawadi Phata and Indira College Wakad before proceeding to Navi Mumbai International Airport.
