Shiva Sharma Death Case: A day after model and influencer Shraddha Dubey was arrested in Nagpur following a joint operation by the UP Special Task Force (STF) and Lucknow Police, her boyfriend Aamir was detained by police on Wednesday. Aamir was accused of allegedly helping Shraddha escape arrest after the death of Lucknow businessman Shiva Sharma on October 9.
He purportedly accompanied Shraddha when she ran away from Lucknow. He also helped her reach the Nepal border and provided her with a mobile and a SIM card. He obtained them using fake identity documents.
Shraddha Dubey Sent To 3-Day Transit Remand
Meanwhile, Shraddha, her sister Rashmi, and Danish, all three accused in the murder case, have been sent to 72-hour transit remand. Police are taking them from Nagpur to Lucknow.
Rashmi and Danish were also arrested along with the influencer on October 20. After getting the transit remand from Nagpur District Court, Lucknow Police and STF have left for Lucknow with all three of them.
Phone And SIM Used To Avoid Police Surveillance?
According to investigators, the phone and SIM card must have been used to escape police surveillance and maintain contact with others. However, it is still not clear whom Shraddha has contacted or how many times she used the phone.
They were monitoring her movements, phone connections and other evidence to retrace the events after her disappearance.
How Police Traced Shraddha's Nagpur Hideout?
Tracking Shraddha was a massive challenge for the police. She kept moving through several locations before finally reaching Nagpur. According to police, the suspects first rolled into Nagpur in a rented car with Uttar Pradesh license plates. From there, they headed to the Ganeshpeth area where they ditched the car and got into an e-rickshaw toward Chinchbhuvan.
That e-rickshaw ride ended up giving the police the exact breakthrough they needed. Investigators spent hours going through footage from nearly 200 CCTV cameras along that specific route. The digital trail led them straight to a local apartment complex in Chinchbhuvan. Armed with the location, police raided a rented flat up on the 11th floor, where they caught and arrested Shraddha and her companions.
