A man had a miraculous escape in Tamil Nadu's Thoothukudi district after a speeding car rammed into a parked motorcycle he was sitting on. The video of the incident was captured in a nearby CCTV camera and has gone viral on social media since then.
The incident, reportedly, took place on Sunday near the Maninagar river bridge where two-wheelers were being parked by devotees visiting the Mutharamman Temple.
The viral video shows a man in a blue T-shirt sitting on a parked bike on the road during dark hours. He could be seen sipping his tea when a high-speeding car coming from behind rammed into the bike. The impact of the car threw the bike forward, leaving the man tumbling to the ground.
The man got up on his own and escaped the accident unhurt. However, the accident-hit bike crashed into another man sitting near the tea stall, leaving him seriously injured.

The visuals from another CCTV camera from the site show the bike being flung into the air after the hit and crashing into the man. The man sustained serious head injuries and collapsed on the spot.
The sudden incident with two crashes left the bystanders stunned. They rushed to help the injured man and took him to a hospital.
The car driver didn't stop after the accident and fled the scene. Reports suggested that the locals later traced the car to a secluded and dark area and confronted those inside over the accident. This led to a heated argument. There was no confirmation if a case was registered in the accident.
The viral video garnered reactions online with people criticising the car driver for reckless driving. Others highlighted the effect of reckless driving on one's as well as others' lives.
"One moment of reckless driving can change someone’s life forever. Drive responsibly. Never flee after an accident," a user said.
