A fan who had gone to film Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff leaving a football ground in Mumbai’s Juhu was struck by a bullet when gunmen opened fire at the actor’s car on Sunday evening. Umesh Chauhan, a vlogger who was recording Shroff as he got into his BMW, said he initially mistook the gunshots for a tyre burst before experiencing severe chest pain.

The incident took place around 7 pm as Shroff was leaving a football ground in Juhu. The actor escaped gunshot injuries, while his driver, Firdos Ibrahim Baloch, and Chauhan were wounded. Shroff reportedly took control of the car after his driver was shot and drove him to Nanavati Hospital.

"That day, TigerShroff Sir was leaving after playing around 7:00PM. When his car exited through the gate, I was standing right near the window, very close to where Tiger Shroff Sir was seated. I was recording a video. Suddenly, I heard a sound; I thought a tyre had burst. Right after that, I started experiencing severe chest pain. I started shouting and crying out for help,” IANS quoted Chauhan.

“I had no idea I had been shot. Only after I was brought to Cooper Hospital did I find out that a bullet had hit me. Initially, I thought I was having a heart attack. After some initial check-ups at the hospital, they transferred me here,” he added.

Video Captures Moments Before Firing

A 48-second video recorded by Chauhan shows Shroff walking towards his BMW after playing football, waving at fans gathered outside the ground and stopping to pose for a photograph.

As the actor approached his car, Chauhan could be heard telling viewers, “Aa rahe hai Tiger sir. Aap ko main dikhata hu dosto” (Tiger sir is coming. Let me show him to you, friends).

The vlogger then filmed Shroff getting into the vehicle, describing the actor’s BMW and the crowd outside the venue. A security guard can be seen asking people to make way for the car.

Shroff was seated in the front passenger seat when the vehicle began leaving the ground. Gunshots rang out in quick succession as the car exited the premises.

Police said multiple rounds were fired at the actor’s vehicle. While reports differed on the exact number, seven rounds were reported to have been fired during the attack.

Fan Undergoing Treatment At KEM Hospital

Chauhan was taken to King Edward Memorial (KEM) Hospital in Mumbai for treatment. One of the bullets reportedly injured his liver, and he remains under medical care.

His family has raised concerns about the treatment being provided at the government-run hospital and has appealed to Shroff to help transfer him to a private facility, NDTV reported. According to his relatives, a bullet remains lodged in his chest.

Chauhan’s wife is pregnant, and his family has said she has not yet been informed about the shooting.

The vlogger had reportedly been visiting Pushpa Park every Sunday in the hope of seeing Shroff and recording videos of the actor. He also pursued vlogging alongside his work to support his family.

Shroff’s mother visited Chauhan at the hospital and assured him of assistance, according to his account.

Three Suspects Arrested, Brought To Mumbai

Mumbai Police have taken custody of three suspects arrested in Rajasthan’s Kota in connection with the firing. The accused were intercepted aboard the Pune-Jaipur Superfast Express on Monday morning while allegedly attempting to flee.
