Jagran Correspondent, Begusarai | The brutality on a woman in the Chakia police station area of Begusarai district, Bihar, has brought back horrific memories of the Nirbhaya case in Delhi. Seven days after the gang rape, the entire district is in a state of shock after a bullet, pebbles, and pieces of wood were removed from the victim's private part during treatment at a hospital. The victim remains in critical condition and is writhing in excruciating pain.

Hospital's Negligence Emerges

After the gang rape on the night of June 11, the police admitted her to Sadar Hospital. However, the woman was discharged the next day, raising questions about the hospital's investigation process and police performance.

Discharged after initial treatment, the shocking details were revealed after she was taken to the hospital for the second time when her pain worsened. The victim was initially discharged from Sadar Hospital, but a further examination revealed serious internal injuries after her pain continued to increase.

During the medical examination, it was revealed that a live bullet, pebbles, and wooden objects were found inside the victim's private part, making the matter even more serious.

Gang-Raped And Brutally Assaulted By Five

The victim stated in her statement that five men forcibly captured her, took her to a secluded location, gang-raped her, and beat her when she resisted. According to the victim, the accused attacked her body with a blade and subjected her to even more brutality while she was resisting. The accused sliced her chest and thigh with the blade, leaving her unconscious.

No Action By Police On Previous Complaint

The victim stated that she was attacked and attempted to rape a few months ago, but the lack of effective action at that time emboldened the accused.

Special Police Team Formed

Manish Kumar, SP, said the case is being scientifically investigated. The investigation so far appears to prima facie prove the victim's allegations to be true, he said adding that a special team has been formed to arrest all the accused involved in the incident and raids are being conducted continuously.
