In a major relief for commuters, the e-city bus service from the City Bus Terminal in Sector 82 to the Noida International Airport in Jewar is set to begin soon. The officials of the Noida Authority on Wednesday provided the related update.

Officials have claimed that the 110 e-city buses provided by the Urban Development Department will be operated from the city bus terminal located in Sector-82.

After the addition, a total of 210 e-city buses will be operated on various routes in the district, which will solve the public transport-related problems of the people.

This arrangement will connect the Noida International Airport at Jewar to various locations in the city via e-city bus service. Currently, Noida, Greater Noida, and the Yamuna Authority have begun operating 100 e-city buses in collaboration with the Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC).

Approval for operation of 110 city buses

Recently, the Uttar Pradesh Cabinet approved the operation of 110 more e-city buses for Gautam Buddha Nagar. These buses will be operated by the state's Urban Development Department. Noida Authority General Manager SP Singh stated that the Urban Development Department has begun the process of purchasing these buses.

The Urban Development Department had approached the authority to identify a location for a bus depot. The authority has proposed the Sector 82 City Bus Terminal for this purpose.

Operations are being carried out from Sector-90 depot

As a result, 110 new e-city buses will operate from the Sector 82 bus terminal throughout the district within the next few months. The routes for these buses will be determined later.

Thus, this step is significant in making public transportation in Noida more accessible and efficient. Currently, the Authority operates 110 e-city buses from its Sector 90 depot.
