The opening of Noida International Airport has brought excitement among Ghaziabad residents. A proposal to connect the airport with Ghaziabad via the Namo Bharat Express is underway. It is believed that Noida Airport will play a significant role in the development of the district's industries, jagran.com reported.

Ghaziabad is primarily a hub of engineering and manufacturing industries. It has world-renowned industries for engineering goods, automobile parts, and metal products. The district is home to major industries such as rolls, gears, shafts, sugar mill machinery, elevators, paints, textiles, and electric cables.

Factories located on Bulandshahr Road, Meerut Road, Sahibabad, Industrial Kunj, Kavinagar, Mohan Nagar, and Anand Industrial Area export products. Ghaziabad enjoys strong connectivity via the Delhi-Meerut Expressway, Eastern Peripheral Expressway, GT Road, Metro, Namo Bharat Expressway, and NH 9. Now, the Noida Airport has given Ghaziabad's connectivity a new dimension.

Foreign Travel For Entrepreneurs Will Become Easier

Entrepreneurs will find it easier to travel abroad, and representatives of foreign companies will also be able to visit Ghaziabad. The distance from Noida Airport to Ghaziabad can now be covered in just 40 to 50 minutes via the Eastern Peripheral Expressway and other routes.

The construction of Noida Airport will increase employment opportunities in Ghaziabad. Cab drivers will now receive more bookings for Noida Airport, along with Delhi. The airport's construction will also boost investment in Ghaziabad.

It is expected that multinational companies will establish themselves in Ghaziabad due to improved connectivity. Property prices are also expected to rise. Farmers' agricultural land will also see increased value. It will now be easier for farmers to export their crops abroad.

DPR Of Namo Bharat Approved

The state government has approved a DPR for the Namo Bharat Express, connecting Ghaziabad to Noida Airport in 2024. The proposed DPR includes a 72.44 kilometre-long RRTS corridor between Jewar and Ghaziabad, with 22 stations. Of these, 11 will be connected to the RRTS and 11 to the metro.

The project is estimated to cost over Rs 20,637 crore. The DPR, prepared by the National Capital Region Transport Corporation, has received in-principle approval from the state government. The Noida Airport will connect with Greater Noida via the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Authority area and the Noida Metro's Aqua Line. Following the airport's inauguration, Ghaziabad residents are eagerly awaiting the construction of the Namo Bharat Expressway.
