Jagran Correspondent, Noida: A massive fire broke out in the Ivy County Society in Noida's Sector 7 at around 8 AM on Friday reportedly due to a short circuit. As per the reports, the fire broke out in a floor on the 12th floor of the high rise building, leading to panic among the residents. Upon receiving the information, several fire tenders rushed to the society to control the flames. The video shot by the locals show large flames coming out of the windows and balcony, forcing the residents to come out of the building.
The teams began the relief and rescue operations by evacuating the building. Apart from this, residents of nearby flats were also moved to safe locations as a precautionary measure. According to initial reports, there are no casualties; however, the incident led to panic among the children and elders. The fire department is working to bring the fire under control and investigate the exact reasons behind the incident.
While taking the cognise of the incident, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath directed the officials to arrive at the site and take necessary steps. He further directed them to admit the injured to the nearby hospitals and provide assistance to the residents of the society.

The chief minister has directed the administration to exercise vigilance at all the levels and ensure possible assistance to the affected residents. He also instructed the officials to expedite relief and rescue operations and to monitor the situation. He emphasised that relief operations must be continuously monitored, adding that negligence should not be tolerated.
Earlier on June 3, 21 people, including foreign nationals, died after a fire broke out on Wednesday morning at Lemon Green restaurant in Hauz Rani area, a locality adjacent to Malviya Nagar in South Delhi.
