Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to embark on an election tour of Bihar today, marking his third visit to the state within 13 days. During his visit, he will address public meetings in Gaya and Purnia, seeking votes for NDA candidates Jitan Ram Manjhi and Santosh Kushwaha, respectively. The Prime Minister's visit aims to garner support for the NDA candidates ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha polls. PM Modi will aim to woo voters of constituencies going to poll in the first phase- Gaya, Nawada, Aurangabad, and Jamui. In the second phase, Purnia, Kishanganj, Katihar, Banka, and Bhagalpur will witness polling on April 26.
According to Bihar BJP leaders, PM Modi will commence his election tour with a public meeting at Gandhi Maidan in Gaya at 9 a.m. Following this, he will proceed to Purnia, where he is expected to arrive at Rangbhoomi ground at 12:45 p.m.

In Gaya, PM Modi will seek public support for Jitan Ram Manjhi, the NDA candidate. Similarly, in Purnia, he will appeal for votes in favor of JDU candidate Santosh Kushwaha. This visit marks PM Modi's return to Purnia after a decade.
Security arrangements have been tightened for PM Modi's election rally at Gandhi Maidan in Gaya, with NSG, SPG, and CRPF taking charge of security operations. The area has been sealed, and metal detectors have been installed at all entry points to ensure the safety of attendees.
In Purnia, where PM Modi will address the first election meeting of Seemanchal-Kosi at Rangbhoomi ground, prominent NDA leaders will accompany him. Notably, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will not share the stage during this period.

To accommodate the large number of attendees, three hangars have been constructed at the meeting venue to shield people from the sun. Parking arrangements have been made at five locations across the city, and tight security measures, including the deployment of central security forces and drone cameras, have been implemented to ensure a smooth and secure event.
