The investigation into the alleged theft of offerings at Ram Temple, Ayodhya, is still underway, and in its aftermath, the process of counting donations has been significantly tightened. The temple authorities have taken several initiatives to upgrade the security of the funds.

The counting operation will now be conducted under a two-layer security system to prevent any irregularities. Additionally, along with police personnel, a private security agency has also been assigned key responsibilities. Security staff from SIS have been deployed at the entry points of the counting centre, where police personnel are also stationed.

Two-Level Security Before Entry

Employees are allowed to enter the donation counting room, located in the basement of the Pilgrim Facilitation Centre, only after clearing both levels of security checks. They are also subjected to thorough frisking while exiting the premises.

According to Jagran.com, citing sources, around 23 employees are currently engaged in counting offerings. Strict instructions have been issued to ensure that no unauthorised material is taken inside the room. More than six security personnel remain deployed during each shift.

However, the temple trust authorities have not yet issued an official statement regarding the enhanced security arrangements.

Counting Conducted From 10 AM To 8 PM

The counting process is carried out daily between 10 am and 8 pm. Employees have been directed to complete the counting and sorting of donations within the stipulated time.

Once the work is completed, the room is sealed and locked. The counting room does not remain operational beyond 8:30 pm, and security personnel leave only after ensuring it has been properly secured.

Authorities maintain a detailed register containing the names, mobile numbers, and addresses of all individuals entering the facility.

Strict Rules For Employees

Only employees wearing the prescribed blue uniform are permitted to enter the counting room. Uniforms with pockets are not allowed, and carrying mobile phones or any personal belongings inside the room is strictly prohibited.

Before entry, employees are required to show their identity cards and undergo both machine-based and manual security checks. Throughout the process, personnel from the private security agency and the police closely monitor all movement within the facility.
