Puducherry Election Results 2026: Vote counting for the Puducherry Assembly elections is scheduled for Monday, with the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA), led by the All India NR Congress (AINRC), seeking a second consecutive term in power.

The counting process will begin at 8 am, and with only 30 constituencies in the Union Territory, clear trends and likely results are expected to emerge within a few hours.

To ensure smooth operations, authorities have set up six designated counting centres across Puducherry’s four regions: Puducherry, Karaikal, Mahe, and Yanam which are under tight security arrangements.

In the Puducherry region, counting will take place at Women’s Engineering College, Motilal Nehru Government Polytechnic, and Tagore Arts and Science College. Karaikal’s counting centre is located at the PG Centre of Arignar Anna Government Arts and Science College. In Mahe, votes will be counted at Jawaharlal Nehru Government Higher Secondary School, while Yanam’s counting will be conducted at Dr SRK Government Arts College.

Polling was held in a single phase on April 9 and recorded a historic voter turnout of 89.78 per cent, surpassing previous election turnouts of 85.57 per cent in 2011, 85.08 per cent in 2016, and 83.42 per cent in 2021.
