Pune Rape-Murder: The investigation into the brutal rape and murder of a four-year-old girl in Nasrapur in Maharashtra's Pune district has exposed the criminal history of the 65-year-old accused, Bhimrao Kamble.
Criminal History Of The 65-Year-Old Accused
According to a ground report by NDTV, the 65-year-old accused had a history of criminal and perverted behaviour. Villagers revealed that nearly 20 years ago, Kamble had raped goats in the village, after which he was expelled from the village.

Furthermore, he reportedly used an axe to intimidate and torture women and elderly residents, creating a persistent fear to refrain local women from going into the fields.
Accused Took Victim To Cowshead, And Then Raped, Murdered Her
According to the investigation, the accused first lured the victim with sweets and snacks. He then took her to a cowshed, promising to show her a 'new calf'. It was there that he raped and murdered her.
While in police custody, the accused confessed to the crime, stating he had always had an eye on young girls, the report added.
However, in a surprising turn of events, the accused pleaded not guilty in court. When questioned by the judge, he denied the allegations, saying, "Sir, this is a minor case of assault in which I have been framed."
'No Politician Should Come To Our Home To Meet Us': Pune Rape Victim's Father
The father of the four-year-old girl on Sunday made an appeal to political leaders, requesting that no condolence visits be made to his house until justice is served and the accused is given capital punishment.
"We are currently in Dehu to immerse my daughter's ashes. During this time, I've been informed by relatives and friends that several politicians have been visiting our home to offer condolences, etc.," news agency ANI quoted him as saying.

"I want to make one humble request on behalf of my family and myself until my daughter receives justice and the accused is awarded the death penalty, no politician should come to our home to meet us," he added.
SIT Formed
A Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been formed, and Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has vowed the death penalty for the accused and assured that the trial will be fast-tracked to ensure justice in "record time".
