Chaos erupted at the District Court complex when rumors of a bomb threat began to spread. As a precautionary measure, the police administration took immediate action and evacuated the entire court complex. Reports initially suggested that an unidentified individual had sent a bomb threat via an email to the court’s official email ID. Following this, security agencies were placed on high alert.

Search Operation Launched In The Complex

Upon receiving the information, SP (Detective) Manjit Singh and SP (Headquarters) Dharam Vir Singh reached the spot with a police force. The police cordoned off the court complex and launched a search operation. Keeping potential threats in mind, all rooms, corridors, and surrounding areas of the court are being thoroughly searched. The police department has also deployed a dog squad to identify any suspicious objects.

Judicial work was disrupted for some time due to the evacuation of the court complex. Lawyers, employees, and the general public were safely evacuated. An adequate police force has been deployed at the site, and no one is being allowed entry without proper screening.

Police Investigating The Matter

Regarding the incident, SP (Detective) Manjit Singh stated that the entire operation is being conducted as part of a routine security check. He clarified and denied the reports regarding the receipt of any threatening email. Currently, the situation is fully under control, and further information will be shared only after the investigation is complete. The police are investigating the matter from every angle to handle any rumors or potential threats.
