Railway operations will be affected in Adra and Chakradharpur divisions of the South East Railways due to a large-scale mega block, which is being implemented for track and bridge maintenance on this route. According to railway officials, quoted by Jagran.com, 16 trains have been cancelled due to operational works. Several other short trains will also be cancelled due to a rolling block, which is set to affect rail routes in Jharkhand, Bihar, and West Bengal.

Adra Division 

Cancelled Trains

- 68046/68045: Asansol-Adra MEMU will be cancelled on January 27 and 29.

- 18019/18020: Jhargram-Dhanbad MEMU will be cancelled on January 28.

- 68090/68089: Adra-Medinipur MEMU will be cancelled on January 30 and on February 1.

Trains Terminating Midway

- 18019/18018: Jhargram-Dhanbad Express will run till Bokaro Steel City on January 27, 29, 30 and February 1. 

- 135053/135054: Bardhaman-Hatia MEMU will run till Gomoh station from January 27 to February 1. 

- 68056/68060: Tatanagar-Asansol MEMU will terminate at the Adra station on January 30. 

- 68090/68089: Adra-Medinipur MEMU will run up to Gadbeta station from January 27 to 29 and on January 31.

Trains With Route Diversion And Changed Timings

- 18184: The Buxar-Tatanagar Express will depart with a delay of 60 minutes on January 27 and 29. 

- 18601: The Tatanagar-Hatia Express will divert via Chandil-Purulia-Kotshila-Muri route on January 27 and 29. 

Chakradharpur Division 

A 14-hour traffic block will be enforced on February 3 for the construction of Bridge No 139A on the Bandamunda-Rourkela rail section under the Chakradharpur Division.

Passenger Advisory

The railway administration said the works are essential for infrastructure development and expressed regret over the inconvenience caused to passengers due to train cancellations and diversions. Passengers have been advised to check the latest train status through the National Train Inquiry System (NTES) or by calling the 139 helpline before travelling.
