Rajasthan Honeymoon Murder: Police have uncovered a murder conspiracy behind what was initially reported as a hit-and-run incident in Rajasthan. The police have revealed that a newlywed woman allegedly plotted her husband’s killing with her boyfriend just days after marriage. Ashish was run over by a vehicle while on an evening walk with his wife Anju and died on the spot, while Anju was left unconscious and robbed of her gold jewellery to make the crime appear accidental.

Ashish was killed by Anju's boyfriend, Sanju, and two of his accomplices, Rocky, also known as Rohit, and Badal, alias Siddharth. All four have been arrested, as per an NDTV report.

Sri Ganganagar Police got information about a couple lying unconscious on the road on the evening of January 30 at around 9 pm. The police called the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) team at the accident site and the couple was taken to Community Health Center (CHC) where Ashish was declared dead, as per an NDTV report.

Anju informed the police that she and her husband were out for an evening stroll when a speeding, unidentified vehicle struck them, killing Ashish. She further alleged that her gold jewellery was stolen during the incident.

Doubts began to surface as investigators noticed inconsistencies between Anju’s account and evidence gathered from the scene.

The medical report revealed multiple injury marks on Ashish’s body, with indications of strangulation, raising questions over the hit-and-run claim. In contrast, Anju was found to have suffered no visible injuries.

Police sources cited by NTV stated Anju had been in frequent communication with Sanju as per call records.

Reconciliation With Ex

The couple had married just three months ago. Anju reunited with Sanju after she went back to her hometown, reportedly dissatisfied with her marriage. It was during this time that the duo planned the murder.
