The medical report of Anjel Chakma, a 24-year-old student from Tripura who was murdered allegedly for voicing against racist comments, shows bleeding in the brain.
Chakma succumbed to his injuries after battling for his life for 14 days on a hospital bed. He was punched with brass knuckles and stabbed by six men.
The medical reports reveal that Chakma had multiple lacerations (rips) to the arms and feet, and his spine suffered serious damage.
In the assault, he had lost movement on the right side of his body. On Sunday, Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha said his Uttarakhand counterpart, Pushkar Singh Dham, has assured him that all persons responsible for the murder will be arrested.
CM Dhami on Monday said that he spoke to the victim's father, Tarun Prasad Chakma, a BSF jawan posted in Manipur, and expressed grief over the incident. He added that he has assured him of strict action against all those involved.
So far, five accused have been arrested in connection with the case. Out of the five arrested, three Suraj Khwas (22) from Manipur, Avinash Negi (25), and Sumit (25), are adults, while two are juveniles.
The sixth accused, identified as Yagya Awasthi, is suspected to have absconded to Nepal, and a team has been sent to the neighbouring country to nab him.
The government has also announced a reward for information leading to his arrest.
The incident took place on December 9 after a group of people attacked Chakma and abused him in a marketplace in Dehradun.

According to the victim's father, Chakma was called a 'Chinese Momo.' In response, Anjel repeatedly told the attackers that he "was also Indian, not Chinese."
The attackers then assaulted him with knives, kada, and other blunt objects. Chakma's father has claimed that the police initially refused to register an FIR regarding the incident.
