Twisha Murder Case: In a fresh update in the Twisha Sharma murder case, accused mother-in-law Giribala Singh has claimed that the Madhya Pradesh Police were not interested in recording her statement and alleged that “doctored” audio and video clips were being circulated in connection with the case.
However, according to PTI reports, the Madhya Pradesh Police said they were issuing a third and final notice to Giribala Singh for the recording of her statement.
Speaking to the media, Giribala said, “We had welcomed our daughter-in-law with so much love. If I wanted to influence the case, I was even going to the office. Police personnel were also present, but they are not bothered to take my statement.”
Mother-In-Law Quashes Notice Claim
Dismissing reports that she had already received two notices in the case, she said, “Police did not give me even a single notice earlier. The first notice came yesterday.”
“They could have recorded my statement. I never refused,” she added.
Referring to the CCTV footage linked to the investigation, Giribala said she too wanted to know what had happened inside the house. “I also wanted to see the CCTV footage myself to know what happened inside my house,” she said.
The accused further alleged that investigators entered her residence without transparency. “They entered my house and secretly recorded videos,” she claimed.

Rejecting allegations and viral content circulating online, Giribala said, “Those are doctored audio and video clips.”
On demands for a central probe, she said the family had no objection to a CBI investigation. “We have no objection to a CBI investigation,” she said, while also alleging that the local police were acting under pressure.
Twisha Sharma’s Family Seeks Probe Into Alleged Calls Made By Giribala Singh
Meanwhile, the family of the late Twisha Sharma on Friday raised questions over alleged phone calls made by retired judge Giribala Singh to several influential individuals immediately after Twisha’s death. The family urged an independent and transparent investigation into the matter.
Navnidhi Sharma, Twisha Sharma’s father, claimed that the family had no prior knowledge of the people allegedly contacted by Giribala Singh after the incident and came to know about the communications only through documents submitted before the court and media reports.
Moreover, along with the press note, Twisha Sharma's counsel also released a list of mobile numbers, along with names, allegedly contacted by Giribala Singh following Twisha's death. The family alleged that several influential individuals, including IAS and IPS officers, judges, doctors, and advocates, were allegedly contacted after the incident.
“The alleged list includes Justice Manoj Kumar (ADJ), Justice Satyendra Kumar Singh (Lokayukta), AK Mishra (District Judge), persons linked to CCTV maintenance, including Rohit Vishwakarma and Vinod Wani, Advocate Venosh Carlo, Dr Rajbala Bahudoria, Siabala Baghel, Pramod Jharia, Dr Yashveer, Pankaj Kushwaha, Ajey Singh, Manojkumar and others,” the press note stated.
“The family has no knowledge regarding the contents or purpose of these conversations and does not draw any conclusion from them. However, considering the gravity of the case, the timing and frequency of such communications deserve independent examination by the SIT and competent authorities,” the press note added.
Furthermore, the family also expressed concern over alleged communications with individuals associated with CCTV systems and electronic evidence, stating that CCTV footage and digital records are crucial in suspicious death investigations.
The family further appealed to the SIT to examine call detail records, digital communications, CCTV logs, and maintenance records.
Twisha Sharma, a resident of Noida, married Bhopal resident Samarth Singh in December 2025. Following her death on May 12, her family alleged mental torture and dowry harassment by her husband and in-laws. Police registered a case against her husband, Samarth Singh, and mother-in-law, Giribala Singh, and formed a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to investigate the matter.
