UP Assembly Election: With just a few months remaining in the Uttar Pradesh Assembly election, the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief, Mayawati, has directed the party leaders to strengthen its cadre network. The former chief minister has directed the launch of cadre camps in the strongholds to improve the party's tally in the coming polls. Once the single largest party, the BSP has not been able to cross the double-digit mark of the total 403 seats in the previous assembly election.
Mayawati's Plan To Revive Party
The Meerut division leaders, who returned from Mayawati's meeting in Lucknow on Wednesday, stated that the party will work to increase its ground presence. While providing details, they stated that campaigns will be launched ahead of the festival season to strengthen vote bank at the grassroots level. They also stated that the party would approach its core voter base during the campaign to boost its vote percentage.
BSP district president of Gautam Buddha Nagar Lakhmi Singh stated that the work of organizing cadre camps will be expedited in the coming days. The high-level meeting was attended by Jewar Assembly constituency candidate Satveer Nagar, district president Lakhmi Singh, and Mandal Zone in-charge (Noida) Krishna Indoria.

Cadre Camps To Be Organised
The party leadership has directed the organization of cadre camps in all the sectors of Gautam Buddha Nagar and nearby western regions of the state. As per the plan, the party will recognize ten booth heads and young workers during the campaign.
The district president stated that along with booth chiefs, experienced party officials will also be given additional responsibility to ensure larger outreach. Over 500 party officials, following the closed-door cadre camp, will hold a door-to-door visit campaign to inform the voters about the party's roadmap.
As per the party members, the workers will try to appease voters of all the communities, including Dalits and Brahmins. Earlier in the 2022 assembly election, the Mayawati-led party could only manage to get a single seat, with its vote bank limited to just above 13 per cent.
