Raihan Vadra Career: A Self-Taught Photographer
Raihan’s journey into photography began at the age of just 10. He proudly calls himself a self-taught photographer. While he has worked in wildlife, street, and commercial photography, his true fame comes from his unique immersive art installations.
Raihan Has Conducted Three Solo Exhibitions So Far
-Dark Perception (2021): His debut show explored themes of “darkness” and “control”.
- Anumaan (2022): This exhibition was built around the philosophy of “choice and freedom”.
-Upmana (2024): Using metal and mirror images, he captured the human tendency for “comparison”.
Raihan Vadra’s Educational Qualifications
After completing his schooling at The Doon School in Dehradun, Raihan pursued higher education in politics at SOAS University in London. However, his website and interviews clearly show that his true passion lies in transforming human emotions, memories and experiences into visual forms.
Raihan Vadra Lost Eyesight In Accident
During his final year in 2017, Raihan met with an accident while playing cricket and lost his vision in his left eye and had to step away from photography for nearly two years due to strain in his right eye.
He studied politics at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London, where he enrolled in 2019. Raihan returned to photography after a year, initially to support himself during his studies.
