Uttarakhand News: A class 10 student from Haldwani, Uttarakhand, has reported sexual harassment against one of her teachers. The 16-year-old girl alleges that the teacher molested her and sent inappropriate pictures via WhatsApp and Snapchat.
After informing her parents about the incidents, they took immediate action by filing a complaint with the police. Haldwani circle officer Nitin Lohani confirmed that they have received the complaint and have begun an investigation. He stated, "A teacher at a private school has been sending lewd messages to a student on social media. The accused will be arrested soon."

The teacher, who worked at the same school, is accused of causing significant distress to the student through explicit messages and unwanted advances. The matter escalated after the victim spoke to her parents, who sought help from social organisations, leading them to file an official complaint at the Kotwali police station.
Meanwhile, in a separate news, Actor Jayasurya has denied allegations of sexual harassment made against him and announced plans to take legal action. This case is part of a wider wave of accusations in the Malayalam film industry, involving notable figures such as veteran actor Siddique and filmmaker Ranjith Balakrishnan.
Two actresses have filed complaints against Jayasurya, which he claims are false. In an Instagram post, he stated, "False allegations are easy to make for anyone who lacks a conscience." He expressed hope that the pain of facing false accusations is recognised, emphasising his faith in the judicial system.
One of the accusers, actress Minu Muneer, recounted an incident from 2013 during a film shoot, alleging that Jayasurya hugged and kissed her without consent, later offering her more work if she complied with his advances. The allegations come in the wake of a report by the Justice Hema Committee detailing harassment claims in the industry.
