New Delhi | Jagran News Desk: Prime Minister, who was at the ISRO headquarters in Bengaluru on Saturday, encouraged the scientists present there and said that "our determination to touch the moon has become even stronger and the best is yet to come."
"You are the ones who live for the country. You are the ones who sacrifice your own dreams and spend sleepless nights to keep India's head high," said PM Modi while interacting with scientists at ISRO headquarters.

He further said that India will rise to the occasion and reach even newer heights of success.

Ending his speech, PM Modi said, “Your dreams and resolves are stronger than mine. I am meeting you not to lecture you but to get inspired from you.”
The communication with Vikram lander was lost moments before its planned landing on the south pole region of the Moon. ISRO chairman K Sivan announced that communication with the lander was lost at 2.1 km from the lunar surface.
If the lander had pulled off the historic touchdown, the country could have joined the US, Russia and China in soft landing on the lunar surface. India could have also been the first to lower its lander on the hitherto unexplored south polar region of the moon.
