Weather Update: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has stated that the northern states are set to witness a cold wave and dense fog on January 7. The weather department stated that several states, including Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Bihar, and Jharkhand, are likely to witness a drop in temperature by two to three degrees Celsius. Apart from this, the hilly states are set to witness fresh snowfall in the upcoming days. The presence of dense fog, especially in the morning hours, has affected the flight and train services in the northern states. The weather department has advised the residents to follow the guidelines to avoid any inconveniences.

Dense Fog Alert For THESE States

While providing details, the IMD stated that several states, including Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Bihar, Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Uttarakhand, and West Bengal, are set to witness cold waves and dense fog for the next few days.

UP, Bihar Weather On January 7

The eastern parts of Uttar Pradesh are set to witness a drop in the temperature by two to four degrees Celsius in the upcoming days. The weather department stated that the western districts are likely to witness dense fog, especially in the morning hours. It further stated that the residents of Bihar are also set to witness similar weather conditions.

Delhi-NCR Weather Update

The national capital and other nearby cities are set to witness dense fog in the early hours, affecting the train and train services. The air quality is not likely to improve in the next few days, leading to inconveniences for the residents.

Snowfall Likely In J-K, Himachal

The hilly regions of Uttarakhand, Jammu and Kashmir, and Himachal Pradesh are set to witness fresh snowfall on Wednesday. The plain regions are also likely to witness light to moderate rain in the upcoming days, the IMD informed. The tourists have been advised to follow the guidelines and plan their travel accordingly to avoid the rush.
