Weather Update: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has stated that all the regions of the country are set to receive rainfall due to advancement of the monsoon. As per the weather department, heavy to very heavy rain, along with thunderstorms and gusty winds, is likely in several states, including Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Chhattisgarh, Bihar, and Delhi in the coming days. The IMD has advised the residents to follow the guidelines and limit their outings during the rain.

Maharashtra Weather Update

According to the weather department, heavy rainfall is expected in multiple regions of Konkan, Goa, and Central Maharashtra. The continuous rainfall in Mumbai has caused severe waterlogging and damage to the infrastructure, leading to inconveniences. The residents of the capital city and other surrounding coastal areas have been advised to remain vigilant.

Heavy Rain Likely In These States

The IMD stated that a 'depression' has formed over Jharkhand and Odisha and is slowly moving towards Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. Its impact is expected to bring heavy rainfall in multiple northern and western states, including Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, and Rajasthan. Apart from this, rain is also likely in the central and eastern states like Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, and Madhya Pradesh.

Northeast To Witness Rain

As per the weather department, there is a possibility of heavy rain in multiple northeastern states, including Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura. Apart from this, the southern states are also set to witness similar weather conditions, as the coastal and interior areas of Kerala and Karnataka are likely to receive rainfall in the coming days. Apart from this, heavy rainfall is likely in multiple parts of Tamil Nadu and Telangana.

The residents of these states have been advised to follow the instructions of the local administration and avoid traveling during heavy rains to avoid the inconveniences.
