The airport built in the outskirts of Noida is expected to benefit thousands of flight passengers. What Is Green Cement (LC3)?

- As per the reports, LC3 was developed jointly by IIT Delhi, IIT Madras, EPFL in Switzerland, and several other institutions
- While the traditional cement is made at a temperature of 1450 degrees Celsius, green cement can be prepared at a temperature of 800 degrees Celsius
- Along with saving energy consumption, green cement also reduces carbon dioxide emissions by up to 40 per cent
