Yamuna Expressway Traffic: Following an accident on the Yamuna Expressway in the early hours of Tuesday, massive traffic congestion was witnessed near the Khandauli toll plaza in Agra. The Agra-Noida lane was completely closed, leading to a nearly three-kilometre-long traffic jam. Thousands of vehicles were stranded on the expressway, leaving commuters stuck for several hours and causing widespread inconvenience, jagran.com reported.

Four persons were killed while 25 others were injured after several vehicles collided amid dense fog on Agra-Noida lane of the Yamuna Expressway around 2 am on Tuesday. The accident took place on the lane heading from Agra to Noida. Six buses and two cars caught fire. Many people were trapped inside the vehicles. While some managed to escape, four people died in the fire. Several others were injured.
Six Buses, Two Cars Engulfed In Flames
The incident occurred near Khadehra village, at milestone number 125, in the Baldev police station area. Due to the dense fog, visibility was zero at night. Drivers of vehicles travelling in both directions were unable to see each other, leading to the collision. The impact was so severe that the vehicles caught fire.
3 Km Long Jam, Vehicles Stopped At Toll Plaza
As a precautionary measure, the toll plaza was closed and vehicular traffic was halted. At the time of filing this report, the toll plaza remained closed, and a queue of vehicles stretched nearly three kilometers. To ensure smooth traffic, the administration was diverting vehicles from other directions. Police and administration were working to bring the situation back to normal.
