For Hajj 2026, the Jharkhand State Hajj Committee has issued important health-related guidelines. During a Hajj trainer training programme held at Hajj House, Kadru, it was clarified that only individuals who are completely physically and mentally healthy will be able to undertake the Hajj pilgrimage. The Hajj Committee has made it clear that people suffering from serious illnesses will not be permitted to go on Hajj this year.

Medical Screening In Saudi Arabia And Action Against False Certificates

Hajj pilgrims travelling from Jharkhand will undergo a medical examination at the airport upon their arrival in Saudi Arabia. If any pilgrim is found ineligible during the examination there, they will be sent back to India immediately at their own expense. Furthermore, action will be taken against doctors who issue false medical fitness certificates.

List Of Illnesses And Conditions Barred From Hajj 2026

Those suffering from these illnesses will not be able to undertake the Hajj pilgrimage. According to the Hajj Committee, people in the following categories will not be permitted to undertake the Hajj pilgrimage:

- Kidney patients undergoing dialysis.

- Heart patients who experience shortness of breath even with light exertion.

- Lung patients dependent on oxygen.

- Individuals suffering from severe liver cirrhosis or liver failure.

- Women with high-risk pregnancies.

- People with serious mental or neurological illnesses.

- Elderly people suffering from dementia or severe memory loss.

- Pregnant women, especially in the last three months of pregnancy.

- Individuals suffering from infectious diseases, such as TB or viral haemorrhagic fever.

- Cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy or treatment that suppresses immunity.

Accommodation And Smartwatch Facilities For Pilgrims

Other important instructions for Hajj pilgrims include the fact that there will be no kitchen facilities in the Azizia building. Accommodation for male and female Hajj pilgrims will be in separate rooms. All Hajj pilgrims will be given a smartwatch by the Hajj Committee of India, which can be used to assist them in an emergency.
