Indian Railways To Run Special Trains To Clear Festival Rush On Ranchi-Kamakhya Route; Check Route And Timings

For the convenience of passengers during Durga Puja, Diwali, and Chhath, a weekly special train will operate between Ranchi and Kamakhya. Train number 08621 will depart from Ranchi every Saturday from September 27 to November 1. Train number 08622 will depart from Kamakhya every Monday from September 29 to November 3. This will make travel more convenient and help reduce congestion.

Indian Railways To Run Special Trains To Clear Festival Rush On Ranchi-Kamakhya Route; Check Route And Timings

To handle the extra festive season rush, Indian Railways will run a special weekly train, the Ranchi–Kamakhya–Ranchi Puja Special (08621/08622), for Durga Puja, Diwali, and Chhath. This train will operate for a total of six trips to provide convenience to passengers.

Train Schedule

Train number 08621 Ranchi–Kamakhya Weekly Special will depart from Ranchi every Saturday at 8:10 pm from September 27 to November 1. It will make stops at Muri, Bokaro Steel City, Dhanbad, Jasidih, Kiul, Katihar, New Jalpaiguri, New Bongaigaon, and Rangiya before arriving at Kamakhya at 11:00 pm on Sunday.

Train number 08622 Kamakhya–Ranchi Weekly Special will depart from Kamakhya every Monday at 2:00 am from September 29 to November 3. It will follow the same route in reverse, with stops at Rangiya, New Bongaigaon, New Jalpaiguri, Katihar, Kiul, Jasidih, Dhanbad, Bokaro Steel City, and Muri, before arriving in Ranchi at 4:40 am on Tuesday.

Coach Composition

Each train will have a total of 19 coaches, including a variety of classes to accommodate different needs. The coaches will be composed of:

- 5 General Class coaches

- 4 Sleeper Class coaches

- 6 AC 3-Tier coaches

- 1 AC 2-Tier coach

- 1 Composite AC 2-Tier cum AC First Class coach

- 1 SLRD coach

- 1 Generator car
