Ranchi Special Trains: Railways Launches Special Service To Anand Vihar And Ajmer Ahead Of Diwali, Chhath | Details

The Railways has announced two more Puja, Diwali, and Chhath special trains from Ranchi. Officials said these special trains will help reduce overcrowding on regular services and provide convenient travel options for passengers during the festive season.

Ranchi Special Trains: Railways Launches Special Service To Anand Vihar And Ajmer Ahead Of Diwali, Chhath | Details

To ease passenger rush during the festive season, the Railways has announced two more Puja, Diwali, and Chhath special trains from Ranchi. These join seven previously announced festive specials, providing much-needed relief for travellers.

The first, Ranchi – Anand Vihar Terminal – Ranchi Weekly Diwali/Chhath Special (Train No 02877/02878), will operate three trips from Ranchi to Anand Vihar Terminal between October 17 and October 13.

The train departs Ranchi at 23:55 on Fridays, stopping at major stations including Muri, Barkakana, Garhwa Road, Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya, Prayagraj, and Govindpuri (Kanpur), before reaching Anand Vihar Terminal early Sunday. 

The return service departs Anand Vihar Terminal at 04:00 on Sundays and reaches Ranchi on Monday at 05:00. Each train will run with 2 generator van coaches and 18 AC 3-Tier Economy coaches.

The second, Ajmer – Ranchi – Ajmer Puja, Diwali & Chhath Special (Train No 09619/09620), will operate ten trips from September 26 to November 28. The Ajmer-bound train departs Ranchi at 09:15 on Sundays and arrives in Ajmer at 18:35 on Mondays, stopping at major stations including Lohardaga, Tori, Daltonganj, Chopan, Katni Murwara, Guna, and Jaipur.

The return service departs Ajmer every Friday at 23:05, covering the same stations before reaching Ranchi at 07:30 on Sunday. These trains will have 20 coaches, including SLR/D, general class, Second Class Sleeper, AC 3-Tier, AC 2-Tier, and AC First Class composite coaches.

Officials said these special trains will help reduce overcrowding on regular services and provide convenient travel options for passengers during the festive season.
