Tattoos are becoming more common than ever before. People believe that tattoos are a form of self-expression. A tattoo is a permanent mark in the skin that is done with special tattoo ink. The handheld machine, which looks similar to a sewing machine having a fine needle, helps in creating the tattoo. With every puncture, the needle inserts tiny ink drops into the top layer of the skin. It might cause a small amount of bleeding with minimal pain. Body Parts To Avoid Getting Tattoos
Hand Tattoos
The skin on the hand makes it difficult for the ink to stick properly due to the continued use of body oils and moisturisers. Coloured ink does not remain bright, while the black ink stops looking bold. Without UV protection, the direct rays of the sun cause the ink on the hands to fade much faster. Furthermore, the hand skin has muscle underneath that leads to faster fading, making the tattoo look pale and old.
Inner Side Of Upper Arms And Armpits
This area has larger sweat glands, which make the tattoos fade faster. Also, because the frequent movement of the arms leads to friction fades the ink and within six months, people can notice the tattoos turning grey. Although a handful of people opt for the armpits and inner side of the upper arm area, it is not a feasible option.
Elbow Tattoos
This is a common place where both men and women get their tattoos. However, this area is prone to fading than other parts of the body. The constant bending of the arms and frequent leaning on desks or tables at work can hasten the fading of the tattoo. Also, the use of moisturisers and body oils makes the elbow tattoos grey in shade within a year.

Feet Tattoos
Feet tattoos are more susceptible to fading because of the constant use of socks and shoes, which rub against them at all times. Because it is necessary to wash the feet frequently and they get sweaty because of socks, tattoos fade within six months.
Palm Tattoos
The ink fails to stick to the palm as the skin hardens. Because of continuous washing of the hands with soap, it gets difficult for the ink to stay on the area, making the tattoo fade over time.
