Toilet Sitting Health Risks: Sitting on the toilet and using the phone for too long has become a common practice these days. Many people spend 20-25 minutes on the commode and little do they know the health risks associated with it. Spending a long time causes the pooling of blood in the rectal veins, resulting from the force of gravity, which leads to haemorrhoids, causing itching, bleeding, and discomfort during bowel movements. Prolonged toilet sitting also strains pelvic floor muscles, which weaken and struggle to support organs, raising the risks of rectal prolapse.
