Mumbai Local Train Cancellations: Western Railway (WR) commuters are expected to face significant disruptions on Saturday, December 27, as construction of the sixth rail line between Kandivali and Borivali is underway. More than 300 local trains, about 25 per cent of the total services, will be cancelled, causing widespread inconvenience for travellers on the weekend.
The Western Railway started a month-long infrastructure work on the night of December 20/21, 2025 and will continue until January 18, 2026, impacting both suburban and outstation trains, Hindustan Times reported.
