The Central Railways on Friday said that it will operate a mega block on its Main and Harbour Lines on Sunday, February 15, 2026. This will disrupt the timings of the suburban railways of Mumbai. The block will be imposed by the Central Railway to carry out important engineering and maintenance works on the line.
Mumbai Suburban Trains On Main Line: Affected And Diverted Routes
According to the official statement from the officials of Central Railways, the UP and DOWN lines between Matunga and Mulund sections will be affected from 11:05 am to 3:45 pm.
The DOWN services from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) from 10:36 am to 3:10 pm will be diverted towards Matunga.
The trains running between this stretch will halt at their scheduled stations and are expected to reach their destinations 15 minutes late.
Fast trains travelling beyond Thane will be diverted towards Mulund.
The UP fast services leaving Thane from 11:03 am to 3:38 pm will be diverted to the UP slow line at Mulund, with a delay of 15 minutes.
They will halt at scheduled stations between Mulund and Matunga before rejoining the UP fast line at Matunga.

Mumbai Suburban Trains Harbour Line: Affected And Diverted Routes
On the Harbour line, the UP and DOWN services between Kurla and Vashi stations will be suspended from 11:10 am to 4:10 pm.
The DOWN services on the Harbour line towards Vashi, Belapur and Panvel from CSMT will remain suspended from 10:34 am to 3:36 pm.
The UP services towards CSMT from Panvel, Belapur and Vashi between 10:17 am and 3:47 pm will also be cancelled.
However, the special suburban trains will continue to operate on the CSMT-Kurla and Panvel-Vashi sections during the block period.
Harbour Line passengers will be allowed to travel between Thane and Vashi/Nerul stations from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm during the block.

The Central Railway has advised the passengers to plan their journeys accordingly and cooperate with the administration when the maintenance work is going on.
