Nashik Election Results 2026 Live Updates: The vote counting for the Nashik Municipal Corporation started at 10 AM on Friday. NMC has a total of 122 seats in 31 wards with 1,486,053 number of voters. In the last elections for NMC, held in 2017, the BJP emerged victories on 64 seats, following by undivided Shiv Sena, which got 35 seats. Congress and NCP won 6 seats each. Raj Thackeray's MNS won five seats. One seat went to Union Minister Ramdas Athawale's RPI (A). in 2026 elections, as many as 735 candidates are in the fray in Nashik. Out of these, 527 candidates represent various political parties and 208 are independent candidates. To win the elections and mayoral office, as party needs to win at least 63 seats. The votong percentage went down this election to 56.67 per cent against 61.60 per cent in 2017. Before BJP, MNS ruled the NMC for five years between 2012 and 2017. The counting of votes is being held in Nashik, along with 28 other municipal corporations in Maharashtra, including Mumbai's BMC, Pune's PMC and Nagpur, among others.
