Nashik Election Results 2026 Live Updates: BJP Crosses Majority Mark, Shiv Sena-UBT Ahead On 9 Seats

Maharasthra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis hailed the performanceof the Bharatiya Janata Party in the civic body elections in his state, saying the Hindutva has always been our soul; one cannot differentiate our Hindutva from development.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and other leaders distributed sweets as the BJP-Shiv Sena-led Mahayuti continued its lead in the BMC election and most of the other municipal corporations in the state.

The BJP is set to get a clear majority in Nashik. In the 122-seat municipal corporation, BJP candidates are leading in 70 seats. Meanwhile, Eknath Shinde's Shiv Sena is leading in 35 seats and Uddhav Thackeray's Shiv Sena in 9 seats.

In Nashik, the BJP is leading, followed by the Shiv Sena in second place. The Shiv Sena (UBT) is in third place, and the Congress party is in fourth. The Ajit Pawar faction is in fifth place, with other candidates trailing behind. The Sharad Pawar faction, MNS, and VBA have not yet secured any seats in this constituency.

BJP MP Sudhanshu Trivedi hit back at Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut, asking how those who fail to keep their alliance partners and end up separated from them can question us.

"The truth is, no state or municipal elections have occurred since 2024 after the so-called INDI alliance fell apart. Whatever Sanjay Raut is claiming, I believe Shiv Sena (UBT), which positions itself as Balasaheb Thackeray's heir, should introspect. While Balasaheb Thackeray was a symbol of Hindutva and the Hindu heart emperor, Shiv Sena (UBT) is now part of an alliance that includes the Muslim League and has members who glorify terrorists. I feel that the people of Maharashtra will definitely give a good answer to this," he added.

Nashik Election Results 2026 live updates: These are five contests to look for in NMC:

-Ward No 7: Former BJP corporator Yogesh Hire vs Shinde faction deputy leader Ajay Boraste.

-Ward No 13: Shahu Khaireof BJP vs Ganesh More of the Shiv Sena Shinde faction.

-Ward 9D: BJP's Amol Patil vs Shinde group's Prem Patil (son of former mayor Dashrath Patil), a family feud.

-Ward No 5: Former mayor Ashok Murtadak vs Gurmeet Bagga, known as a Murabbi politician.

Ward No 25: BJP's Sudhakar Badgujar vs Shinde group's Adv Atul Sanap vs UBT's Atul Landge.

Nashik Election Results 2026 live updates: In Nagpur, the BJP is leading on 85 sets out of a total of 151 seats. The Congress is leading on only 22 seats, while the Shiv Sena is leading in 3 seats.

NCP, NC-SCP, Uddhav Thackeray's Shiv Sena, MNS have failed to open their account.
