Pune Water Cut On February 12: Residents in South Pune should prepare for a significant water supply disruption on Thursday, February 12, as the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) will carry out essential infrastructure upgrades at the Vadgaon Water Purification Centre. The shutdown is expected to last 14 hours, during which the water supply will be completely suspended across all affected zones.
While the supply is slated to resume on Friday, February 13, the PMC has warned residents to expect low pressure and uneven distribution. The corporation has advised residents to store adequate water in advance and use it judiciously until the water supply resumes.
Why The Water Cut Is Necessary?
According to the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), the shutdown is essential to carry out technical upgrades at the first stage of the Vadgaon Water Purification Centre, aimed at improving long-term water management. The work involves installing a shut-off plate on the main transmission pipeline and creating three new distribution points, One India reported.

The PMC has announced a 14-hour water cut across several neighbourhoods of South Pune on Thursday, February 12. Affected areas include:
Zone 1: Hingne, Anandnagar, Vadgaon, Dhayari, Ambegaon Plateau, Dattanagar
Zone 2: Dhankawadi, Katraj, Bharati Vidyapeeth Campus, Katraj Gavthan, Warkhedenagar, Ward 41
Zone 3: Kondhwa Budruk, Ambegaon Khurd and Badruk, Yewalewadi, Sahakarnagar 2, Ambedkarnagar
Zone 4: Tilaknagar, Date Stop, Satchit Mata Tank, Santoshnagar, Wonder City, Morebag
Zone 5: Balajinagar, Sukhsagar Nagar, Rajas Society, Utkarsh Society
