Lunar Eclipse 2023: In the month of October, the world is all set to observe the second eclipse of the year. The second Chandra Grahan will grace the night sky on October 28 in India and other parts of the world. It will be a partial lunar eclipse and will be a spectacular vision which will take place after 14 days of the Solar eclipse observed at the beginning of October.

A lunar eclipse is an astronomical event that takes place when the Moon moves into the Earth’s shadow, causing the moon to be darkened. According to NASA, an imperfect alignment of the Sun, Earth and Moon results in the Moon passing through only part of Earth's umbra. The shadow grows and then recedes without ever entirely covering the Moon.
