Observing Shani Trayodashi involves a series of rituals starting early in the morning. Devotees wake up before sunrise, take a purifying bath, and wear clean clothes. They then clean their homes, especially the puja room, to create a sacred space for worship. The altar is set up with idols or pictures of Lord Shiva, Goddess Parvati, and Lord Shani.
The worship rituals include lighting a diya (lamp) to symbolise dispelling darkness and ignorance. Fresh flowers, sweets, and fruits are offered to the deities as a sign of devotion and gratitude.
