Asian Games 2026 Closing Ceremony: The 20th Asian Games will officially come to an end on Sunday, October 4, as the Aichi-Nagoya Games draw the curtain on more than two weeks of sporting action across Japan.

The closing ceremony will take place at the Nagoya City Mizuho Park Athletic Stadium, the same venue that hosted the opening ceremony, with Indian fans able to watch the final celebrations live on television and online.

India will enter the closing ceremony after completing its campaign with a strong fourth-place finish in the medal standings.

The contingent's final tally stood at 85 medals, 21 gold, 27 silver and 37 bronze. India also produced a late surge on the final competition days, winning major gold medals in hockey, cricket, wrestling, archery and golf.

The closing ceremony will be held on Sunday, October 4, 2026, at the Nagoya City Mizuho Park Athletic Stadium in Nagoya, Japan.

The ceremony is scheduled to begin at 6:00 PM local time in Japan, which translates to 2:30 PM IST in India. The main ceremony is expected to run until around 7:30 PM local time, or approximately 4:00 PM IST.

Neeru Dhanda To Carry India's Flag

Indian trap shooter Neeru Dhanda has been confirmed as India's women's flag-bearer for the closing ceremony.

Dhanda earned the honour after a remarkable Asian Games campaign in which she won two gold medals and one silver. She became the first Indian woman to win an individual Asian Games gold in trap shooting before adding a silver in the women's team event alongside Manisha Keer and Aashima Ahlawat.

She then partnered Kynan Chenai to win another gold in the mixed team trap event, taking her Games medal tally to three.
