Winter Olympics 2026: In a moment of delight during the ongoing Winter Olympics 2026 on Tuesday (February 18), a Czechoslovakian wolfdog became a talking point among fans due to his unexpected presence during the women's cross-country team sprint heats. 'Nazgul', the wolfdog, earned a round of applause from the audience as he tried to match the pace of the athletes as they neared the finish line with their ski equipment.
Interestingly, the short clip has gone viral ever since it appeared on the internet.
Authorities finally succeeded in capturing the cheeky dog, but not before it gained fame online. It was revealed that the dog, named Nazgul, belongs to a relative of an event official.

"He was crying this morning more than normal because he was seeing us leaving and I think he just wanted to follow us," the owner was quoted as saying by NPR. "He always looks for people."
Croatian skier Tena Hadzic, who was part of the competition, said she was amazed by its presence. "I was like, 'Am I hallucinating? I don't know what I should do, because maybe he could attack me, bite me," said Hadzic.
