Anthropic is introducing a new upgrade to its Claude AI and giving it a more visual appeal this time. The AI company is now introducing a new ability where the AI chatbot can now generate interactive charts, graphs and diagrams, all within the chat itself. This new feature is currently in beta, and this feature aims at simplifying complex queries with visual representation.

The company shared a demo in which Claude gives answers to your text prompts/queries in a visual format that can be seen inside the conversation itself. In another example, the AI model gave a short written answer with an interactive idea/mind map for a simple question. This visual representation was interactive with various information nodes and dropdown sections that give more details about the question the user asked.
In another example shared by the company, Claude explains how structural weight distribution works using a detailed chart. The visual includes directional markers and a clear legend, helping users quickly understand the concept without needing to read long explanations.
Anthropic says these visuals are not static. They update in real time as the conversation continues. So if a user asks follow-up questions or adds more context, Claude can modify the charts or diagrams to reflect the new information.
Some of these visuals are also designed to be interactive. Users can click on specific sections of a chart or graph to see the underlying data or get more detailed explanations. Instead of just giving a fixed answer, the response becomes something users can explore and interact with.
This new update comes against the backdrop of Anthropic's broader push towards more format-specific responses, where the AI model will structure its responses according to the task at hand. With this new feature, Anthropic is trying to resolve one of the most peculiar problems that AI models have when it comes to delivering their responses.
Usually users get a long block of text as a response, but with this new ability, the AI model can now easily explain with visuals without the need to go through long strings of texts, and it also makes it easier to navigate the answers. Anthropic says that this new feature will be available through all the tiers of its subscription, although currently it is only under beta rollout.
