Apple India market share: In India, Apple has got a strong hold over the Indian smartphone market in 2025, shipping about 14 million iPhones. This data was exclusively shared with TechCrunch, which we are reporting today. The overall market majorly remained flat at around 152-153 million devices. Apple’s share of the shipments increased to a record 9% from 7% in 2024 based on Counterpoint Research data. This marked iPhone’s strongest performance yet in the world’s second-largest smartphone market by volume.

Apple's growth really took off thanks to a few things: they've got more products now, people are super keen on getting an Apple (that "aspirational demand"), and it's much easier to find their stuff everywhere. Meanwhile, India's high-end smartphone market keeps getting bigger. That's good news for brands with strong premium options, as they're doing well even though overall phone shipments haven't really moved much.
