Apple Launches New Education Hub In India, Expands Supplier Training Programmes

Apple supplier training India: Across the supplier network, Apple has announced its skill-building and training initiatives for its employees alongside the launch of its new Education Hub in India. Apple’s decision is part of Apple’s broader efforts and planning to strengthen the workforce development in the Indian region, where the company has a strong manufacturing presence. The new Education Hub will be helpful for employees in terms of building technical skills and digital skills beyond daily job roles. This will help the supplier employees to improve their career prospects through structured learning programmes.

Apple’s New Education Hub in India

Apple has launched the Education Hub in collaboration with Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) and will start offering the new courses from March, as said by Apple in a newsroom post. The hub is a learning space designed for trainers and students to learn directly from the educators specialising in digital literacy and Swift coding.

Courses and Training Focus

The sessions will be conducted for larger groups of employees, where faculty from MAHE will train the supplier instructors. Starting with Tata Electronics, the courses will be available at more than 25 supplier sites across India. Key focus areas include:

- Digital literacy

- Swift coding

- Robotics

- Automation technology

- Smart manufacturing

This latest initiative of new courses comes under the global $50 million supplier employee development fund, said Apple.

Expansion of Existing Programmes

After the expansion, Apple and its partners will offer more than 75 courses for supplier employees in India. The company also introduced a robotics training programme in December 2024. Apple plans to scale it further in 2026 by training factory educators at robotics labs, who then will be able to adapt and deliver customised lessons at their facilities, following its early success.
