Redmi has brought its latest Note series to India, with the Redmi Note 17 Pro and Redmi Note 17 Pro Max making their debut in the country. The Pro Max is the more feature-packed model of the two, and its biggest highlight is hard to miss: a massive 10,000mAh battery.

The new Redmi phone also brings a 120Hz AMOLED screen, Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 chipset, a 50-megapixel main camera with OIS and 100W charging. Here’s a closer look at what the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max offers.

Redmi Note 17 Pro Max Display And Performance

The Redmi Note 17 Pro Max gets a 6.83-inch AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution. The screen runs at up to 120Hz and has a claimed peak brightness of 3,500 nits. Redmi says it has also received low-light and flicker-free certifications. For added protection against scratches and everyday knocks, the display is covered with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2.

Powering the smartphone is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 chipset, paired with LPDDR5x RAM. It runs HyperOS 3, which is based on Android 16. Redmi has committed to four Android updates and six years of security updates for the device.

50MP Camera With OIS

On the back, Redmi has kept the camera setup fairly straightforward, with two sensors. The main camera uses a 50-megapixel sensor and gets optical image stabilisation, while an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera handles wider shots. An LED flash is positioned alongside the rear cameras.

For selfies, the phone has a 32-megapixel camera on the front, which can also be used for video calls.

The Note 17 Pro Max is also built to take on dust and water exposure. It carries IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K ratings. Redmi further claims that the handset can withstand a drop from as high as 3 metres.

10,000mAh Battery And 100W Charging

The battery is arguably the standout feature here. Redmi has fitted the Note 17 Pro Max with a 10,000mAh battery, backed by 100W HyperCharge support.

According to the company, a complete 0 to 100 per cent charge takes around 70 minutes. Redmi also claims that 20 minutes of charging can deliver enough battery for a full day. With normal usage, the company says the phone can run for up to four days before needing another charge.

Redmi Note 17 Pro Max Price And Sale Date

The Redmi Note 17 Pro Max starts at ₹44,999 in India for the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage variant. The higher-end version is priced at ₹50,999.
