First there was OnePlus, and now Nothing is lining up to enter the midrange phone market with its Nothing Phone 4a series. The lineup will also reportedly include two models—the Nothing Phone 4a and the more upscale Nothing Phone 4a Pro. The company hasn’t shared any of the details outright, but leaks and teasers so far suggest we have a good idea of what Nothing has in store for 2026.
In line with the brand’s ethos, the Phone 4a series is likely to be centred more around a clean design portfolio, durable daily usage and perhaps a visually different look that strays from middle-market handset conformity.
Design and Build
The Nothing Phone 4a line will reportedly have the brand’s characteristic transparent back. Internal components will once again be partially exposed, but with a few refinements to give the rear panel a cleaner and sleeker look. The Phone 4a and the Phone 4a Pro will have a similar design language to maintain uniformity across the range.
There are no official images as yet, but everything is believed to get an aesthetic bump compared to earlier 4a-series hardware and offer a more premium, modernist spin on Nothing’s familiar minimalist visual approach.
Colour Options
According to leaks, the Phone 4a is expected in four colours: black, blue, pink and white. That said, it’s not yet known if all colourways will be available with both models or whether some shades will stay as a Pro exclusive. We’d have to wait for specifics nearer the release.
Nothing Phone 4a Pro: Expected Specifications
The Nothing Phone 4a Pro will be the high-end device in the lineup. Its large AMOLED screen almost certainly will come in at least the 6.82- to 6.88-inch range and have a refresh rate high enough for smooth scrolling and gaming, probably 144 Hz.
The phone is expected to be powered by a Snapdragon 7-series processor under the hood. The device is also believed to have support for eSIM, a first for the 4a series.
In the camera department, the Pro model is believed to have:
- 64MP primary camera
- 8MP ultra-wide camera
- 50MP telephoto camera
The product will very probably see a lone configuration variation sporting 12GB RAM and 256GB inbuilt storage.
Nothing Phone 4a: Expected Specifications
The vanilla 4a version of the Nothing Phone will also have a less large AMOLED display (somewhere between 6.8 and 6.82 inches), but it will compensate with an equally good 144 Hz refresh rate.
It is expected to come with a Snapdragon 7s series chip on the inside, meaning it might not be as powerful as the Pro model, but at least you can use the device for regular multitasking and gaming.
And, interestingly enough, the camera setup is meant to remain identical to the Pro model: a 64MP primary hole-punch sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 50MP telephoto sensor. Just like the Pro model, it might get launched with a 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant.

Launch Timeline
Nothing has yet to officially confirm the release date; folks familiar with the matter say that the successor of the Phone 4a series is already set for Q1 2026. A March release is being heavily speculated, potentially coinciding with events such as MWC. India is likely to be one of the first markets to get the new phones.
Expected India Price
As per the leaks so far, the Nothing Phone 4a may be selling at a starting price of Rs 29,999 in India, and also the Phone 4a Pro has been reported to launch at around Rs 34,999. These prices are, of course, speculative and should be taken with a pinch of salt until Nothing actually announces anything.
Final Thoughts
If the leaks are accurate, the Nothing Phone 4a series could be a strong mix of clean design, high-refresh-rate displays, capable cameras and good-ish performance. Whether it truly shines in 2026 will come down to final pricing and competition from other manufacturers, but on paper at least, nothing appears ready to make the mid-range segment fun again.
