The OnePlus Nord 6 is designed to deliver a serious boost in performance, especially for gaming. Powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 platform, it is said to enable PC-level gameplay with support for up to 165 FPS on titles like BGMI, CODM, and Free Fire MAX.

In comparisons with the Motorola Edge 60 Pro, the Nord 6 is claimed to pull ahead quite comfortably. CPU performance is said to be up to 136 percent higher, while GPU scores see an improvement of up to 64 percent. AI benchmarks also show a 25 percent uplift, based on data from AIbenchmark.com, with these figures being company-stated.

The difference also reflects in AnTuTu scores under identical testing conditions, where the Nord 6 reaches 2,503,854 compared to 1,440,382 on the Edge 60 Pro, marking a 73.8 percent higher overall score, as per the company’s claims.

Display, Camera, and Other Under-the-Hood Stuff

The OnePlus Nord 6 is clearly trying to cover all bases, from connectivity to battery life and cameras, without overcomplicating the experience.

On the connectivity front, it comes with a new G2 Wi-Fi chip that’s designed to hold a stable signal even in crowded areas. It also supports 5G Advanced, which the company says can deliver up to three times faster peak speeds with partners like Reliance Jio. In everyday use, that translates to smoother streaming, quicker downloads, and more stable online gaming.

The display is another standout. You get a 165Hz 1.5K AMOLED “Sunburst HDR” panel, the same as the flagship OnePlus 15. It pushes up to 1800 nits in high brightness mode and 3600 nits peak brightness for HDR content, so visibility and contrast should not be an issue. It also goes down to 2 nits for night use and uses 3840 Hz PWM dimming to reduce eye strain. Plus, Aqua Touch 2.0 keeps the screen responsive even with wet fingers.

Battery life is where things get interesting. The Nord 6 packs a massive 9000mAh battery, which is easily one of the biggest in this segment. The company claims it can last over two days on moderate use, with up to 11 hours of BGMI, nearly 17 hours of navigation, or close to 27 hours of YouTube playback. You also get 80W fast charging that can fully charge the phone in about 70 minutes, along with bypass charging to manage heat during heavy tasks. There is even 27W reverse charging, so it can double up as a power bank when needed.

For cameras, the phone uses a 50MP Sony main sensor with OIS and a 32MP front camera. It supports 4K video at 60fps and includes features like Motion Photo Clipper and a bunch of AI editing tools such as AI Eraser, AI Unblur, and AI Perfect Shot.

On the software side, it runs OxygenOS 16 with AI features like AI Mind Space and Google Gemini integration, along with promises of four major Android updates and six years of security patches.
