Only six months ago, Realme released the Realme 15 Pro series, but now it has been officially confirmed that the Realme 16 Pro series is arriving in India soon. Teasers imply that Realme is accentuating the camera features of this upcoming series, with a slim body design, arched design, and a golden hue on the back panel.

Timeline and Variants
Since Realme has not yet announced how many models are going to be part of the 16 Pro lineup, along with their names. Rumours suggest that this lineup may consist of Realme 16 Pro and Realme 16 Pro+, set to launch on January 6. This launch date pits it against Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 15 lineup, also set to launch on January 6.
Design and Display
The Realme 16 Pro will also come with a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a 144 Hz refresh rate and a resolution of 2772 x 1272 pixels. A look at a prototype of this device reveals that it has a sleek design and a metallic body. This gives this device a premium look despite it being a mid-range device. The device will also be 7.75 mm thick and weigh 192 g.
Camera and Battery
Camera enhancements are also a major area of improvement for the upcoming Realme 16 Pro. This device will allegedly feature a 200MP primary camera along with 8MP ultra-wide optics and a 50MP front camera. To confirm, in the 15 Pro model, there was a 50MP triple camera setup. This device will allegedly come with a 7,000 mAh battery that supports 80W charging.
Features and Software
Software-wise, the Realme 16 Pro will probably be armed with Realme UI 7 software, which would be built on Android 16. Other features expected in this model are an in-display fingerprint scanner, an IR blaster, and available colours of grey, gold, and purple. This device has recently been found in the databases of Chinese regulatory bodies like TENAA and MIIT.

Expected Price
The Realme 15 Pro was introduced in India, starting from ₹28,999. With rising costs of memory chips, it seems that the 16 series of phones is set to experience a slight increase in their prices, possibly above ₹30,000.
