Roblox Not Working Today: A major outage occurred on the popular online game platform, Roblox, late Thursday night, December 18. This resulted in thousands of users being locked out of the platform. Players complained of being locked out of their accounts, login failure, and connectivity issues to servers.
News quickly went live on outage tracking sites such as Downdetector, Piunika Web, and Red94, indicating a major service outage of essential Roblox functionality.

Error 9007 Experienced By Thousands Of Users
According to several outage tracking websites, many players were experiencing Error 9007, which was not allowing players or login attempts to access games or connect with servers. Each time it would come up, it would deny access for players.
Downdetector data revealed a sudden surge in complaints during the period when the outage occurred. Approximately 54 per cent of the complaints were about the Roblox website, 33 per cent were for the inability to connect to servers, and 13 per cent were gaming-related.
Regions Impacted By The Roblox Outage
The outage seems to have affected users worldwide, with the most severe disruptions being experienced by North Americans, Europeans, and people from Asia. The fact that gamers from these regions experienced the same problem suggests that there is an infrastructure-related delay, which is not local server-related.
The Impact of the Downtime
As of the moment, no statement has been announced by Roblox with regard to the cause of the downtime. This is because the usual means of informing users of any update is through the company status page and its social networks.
Although the cause for the issue is still unclear, past occurrences on Roblox may be attributed to a server overload and backend issues.

The issue brought a series of reactions from various social media platforms, with players expressing dissatisfaction with the fact that they were unable to access Roblox. Players reported that they were disconnected mid-game, as well as Roblox failing to load.
"Roblox is down. Do not participate in any experience or game at this time. You will lose the data in the experience otherwise." a user expressed in a post.
Another user suggested, “Not that I know what I’m talking about, but maybe Roblox is down because some community infrastructure was tied to Guilded, and since they shut down Guilded, it brought everything down?”
Now, users of Roblox are eagerly waiting for services to stabilise along with some more information from the company regarding this issue.
